Me in Wyoming
We all met up at the Bavarian Inn this morning around 8:30. Trip gave a little talk and thanking everyone for coming. He's the one that made this all possible. We had two planned rides today. One to the Badlands and one to Devil's Tower. Devil's Tower is the ride I took. Waterman did a great job leading and Todd, LW, and Jeff did a fantastic job of road blocking for us. We had 35 bikes in our group. What a sight to see! On the way back we went through Spearfish Canyon. What a great road to ride. Too bad we couldn't pick up a little more speed to enjoy the curves more. :o) We did get into some rain before getting to Devil's Tower. Not bad. It did start raining again before we left. We had some miles in the rain, but again, not bad. We made it back into Custer around 6:45. What a day! Oh, I gotta go back to Hill City and visit the Mangy Moose. T-shirt maybe? We ate dinner at a local restaurant. The steak was great but the service was bad. We ended up getting 50% off our meals. We rode over to the Purple Pie place afterwards for dessert. They have homemade pies. Todd and Jeff got pie. They both said it was great. I had been wanting ice cream, so I got my old standby, Mint Chocolate Chip. Todd wants to go back for peach pie. We are looking at the weather to decide what our day holds for us on Wednesday.
